A/C compressor retrofit kit for replacing York piston compressors used on Ferrari Dino 246 GT and GTS models. Includes a high quality Valeo rotary compressor, machined mounting brackets and Polyflex-compatible pulley.
Description
We have worked with our manufacturing partners to develop this high-quality air conditioning compressor retrofit kit, to replace the original York compressors used on Euro and USA spec Dino 246 GT and GTS models equipped with factory air conditioning. It consists of a Japanese-made Valeo rotary compressor, along with CNC-machined aluminum brackets designed to adapt the compressor to you car’s stock York compressor mounting points.
These compressors include a machined pulley and clutch assembly designed to utilize the original Gates Polyflex belt. The pulley groove has the correct profile for optimum performance with these OEM belts.
We can also supply special fittings that adapt the original hoses to this compressor. These fittings include charge ports and can be provided in either R134a or R12 versions.
This is an excellent upgrade from the original York piston compressors. Compared to the originals, these operate more efficiently, with less drag on the engine. When these compressors are installed as part of a complete A/C system flush and service, performance in hot climates is noticeably improved.
